Meet Randy DeHay, Director of Training
United States Army- 7th Special Forces Group (SFG)
Randy is a San Antonio native who did a complete 180 and left art school to join the military at the age of 19. He started his 10-year military career with the 82nd airborne where he successfully completed US Army Ranger School and served as a scout sniper in his first deployment to Afghanistan. Soon after he attended the Special Forces Selection and Assessment Course where he was selected to become a Special Forces Weapons Sergeant (18B). After his training, he joined 7th SFG serving as a SF operator and sniper on an Operational Detachment Alpha (ODA) completing numerous combat deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan. As a Special Forces Weapons Sgt. (18B), Randy has a broad range of teaching experience in both the military and private sector. He also has a unique knowledge of the firearms industry from formerly serving as Director of Special Projects for Dynamic Research Technologies (DRT Ammo), to being the Co-founder/Owner of Red Se7en Rifle Company.
Randy believes in meeting shooters where they are and giving them the tools to help them advance in their sport. Whether its someone who has never fired a gun before, or an advanced competition shooter. Randy’s philosophy is to cater his teaching to the needs of his students, not have his students cater there needs to his teachings.
